Jock Turnbull,
1923 – 4th January 2010

Sadly Jock died on 4th January 2010 aged 87 years. Jock started his working life at Printonan driving horses. He then moved on to Fogorig where he progressed from driving horses to driving tractors and then lorries. In fact he was one of the first men in the Borders to drive an arctic lorry. He stopped driving lorries to work on Charterhall Estate where he remained until he retired. Following his retirement Jock followed the Berwickshire Hunt regularly, a pastime which he enjoyed greatly. He was a quiet and well respected gentleman and was heard to say on many an occasion that the Berwickshire Hunt was very hard to keep up with on a good scenting day.
