Ted died peacefully at his home near Grantshouse in May of this year. He was well known amongst the Berwickshire Hunt car followers, although he hadn't been out for the last couple of seasons possibly due to deteriorating health. Ted worked for the Berwickshire Rabbit Scheme for many years and more latterly was a shepherd at Butterdean and then Dowlaw (he was intstantly recognisable by the ever present collie in the back of his car). He was always a keen gardener and after he retired he spent much of his time producing fantastic vegetables which won him many cups at the local shows and even at the time of his death his garden was all planted up ready for the coming season.
